To MAVS Coaches, Parents & Athletes,

What an great opportunity it has been to meet and work alongside each of you as we’ve launched out BOOST + MAVSpartnership! We want to thank you for entrusting us with these young, developing athletes as we get to know them and see their potential on the court realized.

As we near the end of Phase 1 of our program, we wanted to send along several updates from our end, as well as receive feedback from those participating in our program.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

You talk, we listen. Your feedback is extremely important to us! If your athlete has participated in Phase 1 of our program, we’d love for you to take a few minutes to complete our simple survey at this link (CLICK) as we continue to honor our commitment to your athlete’s growth and development.

PHASE 2: ELITE VOLLEYBALL DEVELOPMENT

Beginning the week of April 3rd, we will kick off Phase 2 of our development program for your volleyball athletes. This program will extend through June 23rd and remain in the Monday-Thursday rotation for intermediate, advanced and high-school level athletes. You’ll note that we’ve narrowed our session offerings based on age and level to better individually assess, educate and train your athlete for the time that we spend with them.

Intermediate (30min): For MAVS11s & 12s

Quality movement focus, multi-directional agility transitions (accelerate, decelerate), introduction to strength (via bodyweight training), injury prevention (hip and shoulder stability)

  • Your choice of 5pm & 7pm sessions, Monday-Thursday
  • $175 for 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks

Advanced (30min): For MAVS13s & 14s 

Features intermediate programming in addition to introduction to plyometric training (jump training using maximum force in minimal time to increase power, landing mechanics) and complex program structure (strength, power & stability combined), injury prevention

  • Your choice of 5:30 & 7:30pm sessions, Monday-Thursday
  • $175 for 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks

High School (60min): For MAVS15s +

Complex program structure featuring plyometrics, strength, power and stability

  • Your choice of 6-7pm sessions, Monday-Thursday
  • $250 for 2 sessions per week for 12 weeks

12 WEEK PROGRAM. ONE EASY PAYMENT.

The continuation of this partnership means your athlete has access to sport-specific strength, power and speed & agility training that will compliment and maximize her weekly team practices and tournaments. With the right intention and intensity we involve in our programming, your athlete will see power and speed gains that are directly applicable to the court.

What Can I Expect to See?

  • Improved vertical jump: through strength and power, mobility and ground contact focus
  • Efficient movement: multi-directional speed and agility, sprint/cutting mechanics, reaction time. improved conditioning
  • Mindset & Training Knowledge: understanding of training principles, focus & motivation necessary for high performance
  • Injury Prevention: reduction in injury risks due to improved movement mechanics (deceleration technique, hip & trunk stability, core stabilization) and increased strength

  • 12 weeks of training 2x/week with USA Volleyball-certified BOOST Sports Performance Trainers

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

For your convenience, Phase 2 registrations are taking place online via Google Form (CLICK) and via handout. To sign up using our printable flyer, print the flyer attached to this email or pick up a form at our Mavs location.

We are accepting payment via check or cash through the following methods:

  • Mailed to our Overland Park location
    • 16052 Foster St., Stilwell, KS 66085
  • Hand-delivered to a BOOST trainer directly at MAVS
    • 15546 W 108th St., Lenexa, KS 66219

Payment can accompany the registration handout or can come in separately from the online Google Form submission. Once registered, expect to receive a follow-up email prior to the start of the programming discussing what to expect as Phase 2 begins.

MAVS parents, athletes and coaches,

Happy Holidays from our BOOST Family to yours! We wanted to keep you in-the-know with our schedule changes that will affect our BOOST + MAVS program.

  • Week of December 19th: regular session times
  • Week of December 26th: closed Monday, Dec. 26th with normal sessions picking back up on the 27th
  • Week of January 2nd: closed Monday, January 2nd with normal sessions picking back up on the 3rd

MAVS coaches, parents and athletes,

This is an important message regarding the BOOST + Mavs partnership. Effective immediately, any Mavs athlete interested in training with BOOST may only train at the Lenexa (Mavs) Facility for the discounted price we’ve made available. The terms and conditions of our partnership with Mavs Volleyball allows us to offer our services to you at this price, encouraging and supporting our growth as a team. Note, this price covers all 16 weeks of training.

If interested in training off-site, you will be required to pay regular monthly membership fees at the preferred location with a 25% Mavs discount. 

This will be implemented immediately. Should you have any questions, concerns or comments from parents, please direct them to Lauren Jilek at ljilek@boostkc.com.

Our goal is to continue to create a well-rounded, positive environment for Mavs Volleyball and all athletes involved and we look forward to continuing to build this relationship with your club.

It was so great to have the opportunity to meet you and hear from you over the last couple weeks. We appreciate the continuing interest you have shown as we launch this partnership!

As we get closer and closer to our start date of Monday, December 5th, you’ll notice many structural changes to our area of the gym. The brand new turf and rubber flooring being laid in the next week, along with the delivery of brand new strength, power & speed equipment and accessories delivered will dramatically revitalize the look of the current concrete space into the BOOST-Mavs Elite Volleyball Development Facility.

ACCEPTING ONLY 20 ATHLETES PER TIME SLOT

Sign-ups have begun for our intermediate, advanced and high-school sessions beginning the first full week of December. We have placed a capacity of 20 athletes on each session to ensure we exceed the expectations for quality, individualized attention and safety of all training interaction.
